Athlete Representation & Career Management

Representation that answers
to the athlete.

Regent represents athletes in name, image, and likeness: sourcing and negotiating the right opportunities, protecting eligibility at every step, and building a brand that carries an athlete from Friday nights to a college program and beyond.

Loyal to the athlete. Built on three decades of relationships.

30+

Years of relationships with athletes, coaches, and programs at every level of the game.

1,000s

Of athletes seen and advised every year through our training and development programs.

K–NFL

Grade school through the professional ranks. We have worked with athletes at every level of the game.

We represent athletes the way we would want our own represented.

01

Loyalty

We answer to the athlete and no one else. Not the brand, not the school, not the deal. When those interests pull in different directions, the athlete's comes first, every time.

02

Integrity

No hidden fees. No surprises. Every opportunity comes with the number, the deliverables, and the eligibility review already done, and the athlete makes the final call.

03

Relationships

Three decades alongside athletes, coaches, and programs. We know the people in the room because we have been in the room, and that is where the best opportunities come from.

The work, in five parts.

From the first local partnership to the professional ranks, the same people handle every step.

See the full process
  1. I

    Deals, sourced and negotiated

Local businesses, brands, appearances, camps, content. We find the opportunity, negotiate the number, and write the agreement so the athlete signs something clear, at fair market value, with the deliverables spelled out.

  2. II

    Eligibility, protected

Every opportunity is reviewed against MHSAA, NCAA, conference, and school requirements before anyone signs, and every disclosure is filed on time. A season is worth more than any deal.

  3. III

    The story, built early

A media kit, a clean public profile, and a brand an athlete can stand behind, built while they are producing on the field rather than after. It is what businesses buy and what college programs see first.

  4. IV

    Financial literacy and mentorship

Founded by a former financial advisor. Every athlete learns how NIL income is taxed, how to budget and save it, how to read a deal, and when to bring in a licensed professional. Education and mentorship, so the money lasts longer than the season.

  5. V

    High school, college, and beyond

When an athlete moves up, we move with them: the first college deals lined up before they set foot on campus, and the same team beside them as their career turns professional. Most freshmen arrive with nothing. Ours arrive with a plan.

The right thing for the athlete is the only strategy.

Representation is a relationship, not a transaction. We take on a small roster, we know every family personally, and we measure ourselves by what an athlete has built when the season ends, not by what we collected along the way.

What we stand for
  • Transparent from the first meeting

How we work and how we are paid is explained in full before anything is signed. No hidden fees, ever.

  • The athlete keeps the final say

We advise, negotiate, and present. The athlete and family decide.

  • Long-term over short-term

The deal that is right for a seventeen-year-old is the one that still looks right when he is twenty-two.

Three decades in the room with athletes. Now on their side of the table.

Regent was founded by Patrick Smith, ND, BCHHP, who has spent his career working with athletes from grade school through the NFL, as a practitioner, an advisor, and a constant presence in their development. Regent brings that experience, and the relationships built along the way, to the athlete's side of the table.

One conversation is enough to know whether Regent is the right fit. We would rather earn the relationship than sell it.
